5.0 out of 5 stars well organized
I've been wanting this book and finally bought it; it's organized by psychiatric diagnosis.
I was hoping it would have algorithms, oh well.

As a child psychiatrist and supervisor/teacher of psychiatric and nurse practitioner trainees, I found this book to be immensely helpful. The fact sheets about each medication are laid out clearly with key points easily accessible and well articulated. My favorite part though is the tables comparing different medications for the same conditions. I often reference these with my students who are learning how to choose which medication is appropriate for which patients, how to understand differential response and different side effects, etc. I also reference it when patients come in on new medications that were not around when I was in training, that I'm less familiar with! Overall this is an incredibly useful clinical resource for any prescribers in child psychiatry.
