Anxiety is impacting everyone right now. This book is a great and easy read to get quick tips on how to manage those annoying symptoms of anxiety so it doesn't get out of control and debilitating. Useful information for adults and teens! Sally has a hilarious way of re-framing anxiety into a "super power". She makes learning about the big topic of anxiety and mindfulness in a humorous and relatable way. Sally shared real life examples under "Real Talk" of teens dealing with anxiety. It helped show that we aren't alone. Recommend this workbook for therapists, parents, and teens. Good step forward in managing anxiety.

As a psychotherapist and school counselor I spend a lot of time working with students who are experiencing anxiety. This workbook provides activities that provides teens with the support that they need. The workbook also does a great job of teaching students what anxiety is and how to manage it. Each chapter has an activity and a 'takeaway' section. This book is a definite must for any clinician who is building their library or looking for a practical tool.

As a mother of an anxious teenager I have struggled to find resources that my daughter could relate to and that could help her cope with her anxiety. This book seems to be doing the trick however! The book is visually appealing (very important for my teens!), easy to understand and follow, and has a lot of activities to help her and other teens learn to understand themselves better and learn how to cope with stress and anxious thoughts. As a therapist myself, I appreciate how the book is written in such a way that teens can easily understand the concepts of mindfulness and cognitive coping. I found myself practicing the techniques myself as I reviewed the book (some of my favorites? The Two Taps to Less Stress and the Just Be exercises) and found them helpful. I'm excited to use this book with my teen clients as well and would recommend this book to every therapist and teen.

Even though the book is meant for teens, I found this book a great tool to help me manage my anxiety. Since reading this book, I have used some of the mindful exercises and meditations that are helpful to me. Sally Stevens did a great job intertwining exercises and conversation in this book. I have recommended this book to many of my friends who have been struggling going back in person at work/school. This book has great tips that are useful for anyone.

As a LCSW who works with under resourced youth in a school setting, I appreciate the timely release of this book. During the pandemic, I began incorporating mindfulness into my work and the students I work with really responded to it. This year, I have noticed a significant increase in anxiety as students struggle to transition back to the classroom. The simple, practical mindfulness exercises in this book can help mitigate these high levels of stress and anxiety. The content is laid out clearly and is very user friendly. I am grateful for the this timely and relevant resource.

I am a huge fan of Sally Stevens' other book which is a social anxiety workbook, so I was awaiting this next book's release. This book is even better than the first book. Sally Stevens has really hit her stride with this book. To begin with the book is beautiful and feels like a cross between a journal, a therapist, and a conversation with your favorite older cousin. It provides practical useful tips for teens and the information is disseminated in a manner that feels very timely and current. As a therapist who works with teens and young adults I find that many of the books that provide the information they need don't do enough to help young people connect with the material. Sally Stevens uses a conversational style that draws you in and makes you feel comfortable while doling out advice and helping you to change your thought patterns. If you have an anxious teen you definitely need this book. Thank me later.

“The Mindfulness Workbook for Teen Anxiety” is a great resource. It’s a workbook that is substantial and yet very manageable. Ms. Stevens effectively helps to reframe and refocus anxiety by using relatable and doable exercises that are effective ways to use anxious energy to your benefit. It harnesses the power of anxiety and mindfulness to strengthen and reinforce the best parts of you, all while releasing that self doubt and inner self critic. Ms. Stevens has a knack for clearly sharing the importance of mental health that engages the reader. Each chapter has many nuggets of easy to digest information and so many exercises to practice, implement, and/or try out. I highly recommend!

As a parent of a teenager and a teacher I found this book by Sally Stevens to be an excellent resource that not only shares how Mindfulness can help teenagers manage stress but also reinforces mindfulness skills through thoughtful and practical, exercises and activities. We really liked how the book breaks down these useful strategies into simple, engaging activities. Not just a book you read and are done with. Found ourselves returning to the text again for our favorite exercises and insights. I also use these as activities in my classroom to help students to manage feeling overwhelmed and reflect on skills they can use to do this.

What I like most about the workbook is it's practicality and relevance to 21st century youth who are struggling with symptoms of anxiety. The workbook is written in a straight forward non-fluffy approach of which my students appreciate. I've had clients/students actually request the workbook activities due to perceived benefits from engaging in activities and utilizing skills learned with their daily lives at both, home and at school.
It is workbooks such as this, that also demystify the concept of "Mindfulness" and allow youth to engage in the powerful practice from comprehension and activities that makes "Mindfulness" a utility that positively impact lives.
Thank you Sally Stevens and keep up the good work.

Wow! From the first paragraph of the introduction I was hooked! Sally Stevens’ easy to understand, thought provoking style is wonderful. The exercises can be used over and over and the one page “Your Takeaways” at the end of each chapter are really helpful. Sally Stevens embraces her readers, sharing her helpful approach with us instead of lecturing at us. This is a great book for teens but I feel any age group would benefit from the self love and acceptance that embracing anxiety through mindfulness will bring.

Wish I had this book when I was a teen - glad to have it in my toolbox as a parent! I remember being a teen and not knowing where to start with all the big feelings I had. This book has some very accessible tools to help teens (or anyone!) tap into their emotions and channel them in healthy ways. Exercises have a great range of some being simple and some digging deep. So much potential for reflection and growth here. By putting these tools in workbook format, it gives the teen an opportunity to build healthy habits on a daily basis, not just when they might meet with a therapist. Very empowering!

We were provided with an advance review copy of this book from the publisher and we loved it! My wife, who is an LCSW found this book to be informative, straightforward and resourceful. In this book Ms. Stevens discusses how mindfulness can help teen manage their anxiety. Although the book is meant for teens, anyone can benefit from the mindful exercises discussed in this book. My wife found herself practicing some of the mindful exercises and meditations in the book. The book is divided into the seven essential attitudes of mindfulness. In each chapter Ms. Stevens adds a meditation exercise and at least 5 mindful exercises. The “takeways” at the end of each chapter gives a brief summary of the chapter and reflection questions . The “positive vibes” found in each chapter were uplifting and inspiring. This book can be tool for teens, parents and therapist.

Excellent book being published at a perfect time when anxiety is so high in this world. I love how Sally tells us how to accept anxiety and use it as a self love method. The workbook teaches you how to be non judgmental of yourself and how to accept oneself. Sally gives great detail in each component of what is anxiety and how to conquer it. The mindful exercises are so detailed and easy to follow. Absolutely love the breakdown, the wording, and visuals of this book. Very empowering book that teaches you how to love yourself and be mindful of everything. I absolutely recommend it to everyone.

I LOVED book one so much it really helped my daughter. Now Book 2, a Mindfulness workbook for Teens with Anxiety. We need this. At this time of being in this pandemic, it is so helpful. I will definitely use it with both of my teenagers. ( 13 and 16 yrs old). I love the discussion in there about the 7 Pillars of mindfulness. I actually wrote them down to keep as reminders for myself too. I also was very interested in what was discussed about Tapping. I have been hearing about tapping so much over the last year and have been curious about it. So now I can use it in the workbook. I hope Sally keeps writing these workbooks because the world is in a difficult place right now and these books help navigate how we are feeling and how to deal with anxieties and issues that are showing up due to abnormal environments and circumstances ( kids cant be with friends, in groups, no dances, sports etc. and it's kinda out of our control). I think this book will be very helpful inside and outside of this pandemic. I think it would be great if Middle and High schools could adapt these kinds of workbooks for students to navigate through anxieties that come up on a regular day at school. I know it helped my daughter when she was just entering high school and anxiety was high for her. It helped her understand there are others who feel this way too. Which is so important. Overall I am thrilled about this book and will be using it with both my teens.
